As March Approaches…

IMG_3959 As March approaches, my “To Do” list gets longer and longer. This week’s To Do’s are so much fun, I thought I’d share them with you!

Last night I went to my first NACE meeting. It was great getting to meet and network with so many great event professionals.  Not to mention, the cocktail hour was inside the Ravens locker room!

Tonight is Business Club! Business Club was started by a tiny group of small, green business owners that wanted to get together regularly to discuss business issues, strategy and planning. This month’s topic…Financial Projections! It may not sound that exciting, but it is a really valuable resource to be able to talk with like minded peers about your business.

Thursday is going to be AWESOME! Some of my fave grower/designer friends are coming over for the day to talk all things flowers! Jennie Love of Love ‘n Fresh Flowers in Philadelphia, my dear friend Kathy York of Scarborough Farm in Southern Maryland and Wen Fei Uva of Seaberry Farm in Federalsburg on the Eastern Shore are all coming. We have a long, varied agenda including: 1) the best way to make wrist corsages 2) photographing flower arrangements 3) record keeping 4) new flowers to be planted this year 5) Pinterest 6) resources for..everything!  I love these women and I am so looking forward to spending the day with them!

Bright and early Sunday morning I’ll be getting some shopping in at the Baltimore Bottle Show! If you love bottles, jars and other unique glass containers…you should go!  Later in the morning I’ll be traveling to DC to spend the day with Dave Dowling of Farmhouse Flowers. I’m hoping to hit the Dupont Circle Farmers Market first thing. I’ll be making arrangements at the market that will be used later in the day at the Fresh Farms Market event “Grow. Bloom. Tea.”.  Dave and I will then head over to the beautiful Embassy Circle Guest House B & B  to give our presentations at the tea.

Of course throughout the week, I’ve got lots of consultations with new clients and weekly arrangements to do for our subscription clients. Great work for sure!
