Real Weddings: John and Christine

Working with John and Christine on their wedding flowers was so much fun! They are a great couple that had a beautiful vision for their wedding.

The couple got married in Sherwood Forest near Annapolis. This wonderful summer camp community had stunning views and a perfect summer feel.

The bride’s bouquet was filled with white peonies, snap dragons, calla lilies and campanula. There were small splashes of green from Solomon's seal.

DH2_9046 The bridesmaid’s carried similar bouquets that looked classic and beautiful with their blue dresses.

The reception was held in the community building which reminded me so much of the camp lodge in Dirty Dancing. The natural light coming in made everything look so bright and beautiful.

The centerpieces were made up of a quart sized mason jar filled with peonies, callas, campanula and snaps along with mint and basil. Surrounding the cut flowers were small pots of herbs in terra cotta pots that the guests could take home.

The cake was also decorated with fresh, local flowers and herbs. A beautiful, classic look.

Thanks Wollam Gardens for growing such beautiful flowers! Thanks to David Hartcorn Photography for the fab photos.

Special thanks to Christine and John for choosing Local Color Flowers to be part of their special day. We loved getting to know them and wish them much happiness in the years to come!
