Go Local this Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is fast approaching and Local Color Flowers is so excited! We’re gearing up for loads of fun here at the shop and out in the community.

We’ll be offering beautiful arrangements made with locally grown flowers  for delivery in Baltimore City or for pick up at our studio Saturday morning from 9am-12 during our Mother’s Day Pop Up Shop! Order early! You don’t want to end up at the grocery store on Mother’s Day morning with the other late comers!

Did I mention we’re having a Mother’s Day Pop Up Shop at the studio on Saturday, May 9 from 9am-noon? We are! We’ll have the doors open and we’ll be selling wrapped bouquets, flower themed gifts, shares to our local flower CSA and gift certificates! Best to order your flowers in advance and pick them up during the pop-up to make sure you get what you want. We’ll likely sell out! We’ve also invited some of our fave Baltimore vendors to come by and sell their goodies as well! You’ll definitely want to pick up treats from our friends at Kinderhook Snacks, plants from Butterbee Farm, pots made by Irene and beautiful artwork by Bmore Papercuts. Stay tuned for more vendor announcements soon!

Think all that sounds fun? There’s more! Irene will be out at Becket Hitch in Greenspring Station for their Mother’s Day pop-up. She’ll be selling wrapped bouquets filled with locally grown flowers that you can grab on the go. Joining her at Becket Hitch is our good friend Charm City Cook selling the BEST brownies ever made! Go check them out!

Mother’s Day Week At Local Color Flowers

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and there are SO many great options for gifts involving locally grown flowers this year!

Moms love flowers (doesn’t everyone??)! Order your Mother’s Day bouquet or arrangement today! All bouquets and arrangements are made with locally grown cut flowers from farms within 100 miles of Baltimore! Delivery is available in Baltimore City on Friday May 9. You can also pick your order up at our Charles Village Studio Friday from 9-5pm and Saturday from 8am –noon.

While a single arrangement is awesome, maybe your mom would like the gift that keeps on giving! A subscription to our 2014 Local Flower CSA! The CSA begins in June. Members receive 10 bouquets over 5 months. It’s an amazing way to experience the changing of seasons with flowers!

If your mom really loves flowers, how about signing her up for one of our design classes! Attendees get to learn more about locally grown flowers along with designing an arrangement to take home and enjoy.

If you’re out and about and want to pick some flowers up on the go this week, Carling will be out at the Union Memorial Farmer’s Market this Wednesday from 11am-1:30pm. This is a great opportunity to pick up a wrapped bouquet, a locally grown plant and much more.

Our friends at Chesapeake Wine Company in Canton will also be selling wrapped bouquets starting Thursday afternoon. These babies go fast so be sure to get over there early!

Beginning Friday, Green Spring Station Celebrates Mother's Day with complimentary local flowers from Local Color Flowers.  Stop in any boutique and receive one beautiful stem – shop many stores and make a collection or, enjoy just one. One per customer at each store and available while supplies last Friday and Saturday (May 9 and 10).

Mother’s Day Rocks!

Only 2 weeks until Mother’s Day and LoCoFlo is excited to offer all sorts of goodies for special moms in your life.

Sending a beautiful, locally grown flower arrangement is a great gift for Mother’s Day. Local Color Flowers will head out to local flower farms and pick up May’s best blooms. With the weather being so weird this season…that could include some early season peonies! 

If you love local flowers and want to share them throughout the seasons, you can give the gift of a Flower Subscription. Subscription members will get flowers every season, every month or every week (your choice!)  This is a perfect way to enjoy the bounty that Maryland has to offer throughout the year!
